Spring Fling Schooling Show, May 6th, 1996 Pie
competed in his first show of the season and was incredibly polite and
well behaved. He performed at second level with panache and aplomb.
Elisabeth says that it was because he was trying to impress someone. Pie
disagrees. He says that he only did it for the money.
Saratoga CDI, May 25-27, 1996 American
Pie showed at 1st and 2nd level AND was second twice, third twice and got
an icky green ribbon once. He has earned Elisabeth two scores for her bronze
medal (which she insists on getting on Pie instead of borrowing mom's GP
horse).. Pie managed to walk through his stall guard so that he could show
all the other horses how spectacular his trot is. He was finally caught
trying to convince the security people by the FEI stabling that there had
been a mistake in his stall assignment.
Northern Vermont Dressage Days, June 1996
Pie
made the stupid mistake of inviting Gala
to
come with him to NVDA Dressage. WELL, in spite of her attempts to tear
down the entire barn, Pie managed to sleep well enough so that he could
WIN a class and get yet another score toward that medal! All of his fans
were ecstatic and the general consensus was one of true amazement.
Pie was the most reliable horse we brought. Wonders never cease.
Hardscrabble Farm Dressage, October 6th, 1996 For
all the faithful followers of Pie's (and Elisabeth's) career, the two twelve
year olds made their fourth level debut on Oct. 6, 1996 and came away with
a more than respectable 58.8%. They also made their third level debut with
a 60%.
Junior Young Rider Regional Team Championships, August 16th, 1997 Because
of the building of Pie's new kingdom, Imajica,
he and Elisabeth only showed once in 1997. However, the pair did exceptionally
well, winning the Third Level Junior/Young Rider Individual Championship.
