Pasture Dressage Days
Pie
and Elisabeth competed in their first ever Prix St. Georges on June 24th,
2000, and came away with a 3rd place in a class of 8 adults! Pie
has convinced us that he could have done this years ago, and that we were
underestimating his talent. We beg to differ. Pie also competed
in the FEI Junior class, and WON it, with the judge commenting, "What a
WONDERFUL horse."
King Oak Dressage Days July 15th and 16th, 2000 After
temporarily losing his mind due to a serious attachment to his stablemate,
Gala, Pie had a very successful weekend earning 2nd and 3rd places in open
4th level classes. Following this show, Pie and Gala went directly
to Martha's Vineyard for a week's vacation with the family.
Huntington Farm Dressage Show August 2000 Pie had his last horse show in mid-August, and competed in the 2nd (and 3rd) Prix St. Georges of his life. Just out of the ribbons in each class, Pie behaved wonderfully, and even swapped beauty tips with the lovely Friesian stabled across from him. We're still amazed Pie didn't try to cut off his feathers (which he was eyeing all weekend) while he was sleeping. Maybe Pie really IS growing up!
